iPhone Duo Cases, Handmade in Canada
The iPhone Duo is Apple's first foldable, and it needed a different kind of case. Ours comes as two slim halves. The rear half is built like every other case we make, a flexible TPU frame with a polycarbonate back plate carrying a handcrafted backer in real wood, full-grain leather, cotton canvas, cork, or wood and resin. The front half is a slim matte black polycarbonate frame that protects the edges of the outer display and stays out of the way of everything else. Both halves share the same surface finish, so they feel like one case in the hand.
Every iPhone Duo case is made by hand at our workshop in Mississauga, Ontario. We have been building cases this way since 2012, with more than 6,900 reviews averaging 4.8 stars, and the Duo is the first phone that asked us to rethink how a case attaches. The answer is below.
Two Halves, No Lining, One Clean Fit
A folding phone cannot be gripped by a single wraparound shell without fouling the hinge, so our Duo case is built as two independent halves that stop short of the hinge on either side. Apple's titanium hinge cover stays fully exposed and the fold moves exactly as designed.
Each half is secured to its side of the phone with strips of gel adhesive on its inside face. That adhesive is why this case, unlike the rest of our catalog, has no microfibre lining: a lining would sit between the adhesive and the phone and prevent it from bonding. The gel can be removed and reapplied if you ever need to, but it holds best when left in place, so we recommend fitting it once and leaving it.

Nearly all of that weight lives in the rear half, where the backer is; the front frame adds a negligible amount. The camera surround ring on the rear half raises the case above the iPhone Duo camera plateau, so the lenses never touch the table when the phone is set down closed, and the front frame's raised lip does the same job for the outer display when the phone is face down. The flexible TPU frame on the rear half absorbs impact at the corners where drops actually land.
The volume buttons get responsive covers, so every press works through the case. The Camera Control stays open through a precise cutout because it is capacitive and responds best to direct touch. The side button also stays open, because the iPhone Duo's Touch ID fingerprint sensor is built into it and needs direct skin contact to read. All ports and speakers stay fully accessible.
Built-In MagSafe
The rear half of every iPhone Duo case in this collection has MagSafe compatible magnets integrated directly into the shell, aligned with the phone's own magnet array. MagSafe chargers, wallets, and mounts snap straight onto the case, and standard wireless charging works through it as well.

Every design in our catalog is available for the iPhone Duo. Our wooden cases use species like wenge, walnut, cherry, maple, sapele, and padauk, with some designs combining multiple species through laser-cut inlays and engraved metalized acrylic accents in gold or silver. The leather cases use vegetable-tanned Italian full-grain leather that darkens and develops a patina unique to how you carry it. Our Process
We have been handcrafting phone cases since 2012. Finished wood backers are laser-cut and assembled piece by piece, fitting together like a puzzle using a combination of our Trotec laser cutter and precision hand work. Our One & Only collection takes it further with pressure-cast wood and resin cases where each piece is truly one of a kind. Once your case is assembled, it gets a final cleaning and quality check before being shipped from our Mississauga workshop.

Does this case work with MagSafe chargers and accessories?
Yes. MagSafe compatible magnets are integrated into the rear half of every iPhone Duo case, so MagSafe chargers, wallets, and mounts attach directly to the case. Standard Qi wireless charging also works through the case.
Why does this case not have a microfibre lining?
Because it attaches differently. A foldable cannot be held by a single wraparound shell, so each half of the Duo case is secured to the phone with strips of gel adhesive on its inside face. A lining would sit between the adhesive and the phone and stop it from bonding.
Can I take the case off and put it back on?
Yes. The gel adhesive can be removed and reapplied. It holds best the fewer times it is removed, though, so fit it carefully once and leave it in place for the strongest bond.
Does the case cover the hinge?
No. The two halves stop short of the hinge on either side, so the titanium hinge cover stays exposed and the fold moves exactly as Apple designed it.
What is the front half made of?

Do Touch ID and the Camera Control still work?
Yes. The side button, which houses the Touch ID sensor, stays open through a cutout so your fingerprint reads directly. The Camera Control also stays open because it is capacitive. The volume buttons get responsive covers.
Is the wood real?
Yes. Every wood case uses genuine wood veneer: wenge, walnut, cherry, maple, sapele, or padauk, cut and assembled by hand. There are no printed wood-grain imitations anywhere in our catalog.
Will the case change over time?
The leather cases will, and that is the point: vegetable-tanned full-grain leather darkens and develops a patina with daily use. Wood cases hold their look; the finish protects the veneer through daily carry.
Do you ship to the United States?
Yes. We ship across Canada and the United States from our workshop in Mississauga, Ontario, and most of our customers are in the US.
