Tartan - Printed Wood Phone Case

Tartan never really goes out of style. It's the pattern of flannel shirts, wool blankets, and cabin weekends, and on this case it gets a warmer, more natural take: a classic plaid printed straight onto real walnut, so the wood becomes part of the weave.

The plaid is built from crossing bands of red, navy, and soft beige, set on the diagonal so the lines run corner to corner. It's printed onto a real walnut backer, and in the lighter, neutral parts of the pattern the wood grain shows right through, so the tan threads of the tartan are really the walnut itself. That mix of woven pattern and real wood gives it a cozy, heritage feel you don't get from a flat printed plaid. Because the backer is real wood, the grain falls differently behind every case, so no two are exactly alike.

Each Tartan is made on a real walnut backer in our Mississauga workshop, with the plaid printed in high-resolution UV ink directly onto the finished, laser-cut wood. Printing onto real walnut rather than a flat panel is what lets the grain read through the lighter threads and tie the whole pattern back to the wood. Available for all current iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models, with integrated MagSafe magnets and a soft microfiber interior lining on iPhone 13 and newer.
