Stag - Wood Phone Case

The stag has long stood for the wild places, a symbol of the hunt, the highlands, and the kind of country where you're more likely to hear hooves than traffic. The Stag wooden phone case runs a column of antlered heads down the back of the case, each set of antlers reaching into the next, for a design that nods to both lodge-wall tradition and open woodland.

The Stag is built on a dark wenge backer with a coarse, open grain that reads almost like fabric up close. Down the center runs a repeating column of stag heads, each face, head, and neck cut from pale maple and topped with broad branching antlers in red-orange padauk. The antlers of each stag reach up and interlock with the head of the one above, so the design reads as a continuous chain rather than separate figures. The contrast is the whole point: bright maple faces and fiery padauk antlers set against the near-black wenge. Because every piece is real wood veneer with its own grain, no two Stag cases look exactly the same.

Each veneer is finished with a semi-gloss protective coat before being laser-cut, with kerf compensation tight enough to keep the fine antler points and maple faces seated cleanly against each other and the wenge backer. The cut pieces are then fitted together by hand in our Mississauga workshop, seating like puzzle pieces, and the completed design is pressed flush to the case back so the surface stays smooth under your thumb. The Stag sits squarely in the outdoor aesthetic that has been part of Keyway since the beginning, leaning into the woodland and wildlife side of the line. Available for all current iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models, with integrated MagSafe magnets and a soft microfiber interior lining on iPhone 13 and newer.
