Cosmo - Printed Wood Phone Case

"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." The Cosmo is built for space-lovers and anyone who dreams as big and vast as the universe itself, a retro, comic-style scene of an astronaut adrift above a red planet.

The art has a vintage sci-fi feel: a lone spacewalker in cream line work, a ringed planet off to one side, a scatter of stars across deep navy space, and the rust-red surface of an alien world below. The real detail is the sun, which is left as bare cherry wood, so the warm grain of the backer becomes the glow of the star rising over the horizon. That is the wood doing the work the ink can't, and the grain runs differently on every piece, so each sun is a little different.

Each Cosmo is made on a real cherry backer in our Mississauga workshop, with the design printed in high-resolution UV ink directly onto the finished, laser-cut wood. Printing onto real cherry rather than a flat panel is what lets the wood stand in for the sun and gives the whole scene its warmth. Available for all current iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models, with integrated MagSafe magnets and a soft microfiber interior lining on iPhone 13 and newer.
