Canyon - Wood Phone Case

Canyons are one of life's naturally created wonders, made by our ever shifting earth, and some of the most formidable hiking trails out there. Crafted from flowing layers of gold metallic Cherry, Walnut, Sapele, Padauk, and Wenge on a Maple backer, this wooden phone case is built to accompany you on any adventure.

The Canyon is a layered wood phone case built on a solid maple backer, with five other wood species and a gold metallic accent stacked across it in flowing horizontal bands. The layers echo the way real canyon walls read from a distance, with each band of cherry, walnut, sapele, padauk, and wenge bringing its own natural colour: warm pinks and reds through deep browns and into near-black at the dark end, with a thin line of gold metallic running through to catch the light. Because every layer is real wood veneer with its own grain, no two Canyon cases look exactly the same.

Each wood veneer is finished with a semi-gloss protective coat before being laser-cut, with kerf compensation tight enough to keep the layers seated cleanly against each other and against the maple backer beneath. The cut pieces are then assembled by hand in our Mississauga workshop, fitting together like puzzle pieces, and the completed design is pressed flush to the case back so the surface stays smooth under your thumb. The Canyon sits squarely in the outdoor aesthetic that has been part of Keyway since the beginning, expressed through the natural colour variation of five different wood species. Available for all current iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models, with integrated MagSafe magnets and a soft microfibre interior lining on iPhone 13 and newer.
