Trooper - Printed Wood Phone Case

Camo is one of those patterns that never really goes out of style. The Trooper wooden phone case takes the classic woodland camouflage look and does something different with it: instead of printing the whole pattern in flat ink, it uses the natural tone of real cherry wood as the base color, so the wood grain itself becomes part of the camo.

The Trooper starts with a real cherry backer, and over it we UV-print a woodland camouflage pattern in green, brown, and near-black. The trick is that the lightest tone in the camo isn't printed at all, it's the bare cherry wood showing through, so the warm tan of the grain reads as the khaki base of the pattern while the darker colors layer on top. The result is a camo that shifts a little depending on the wood underneath each case. Because the cherry is real wood veneer, the grain runs differently through every piece, so no two Trooper cases share the exact same pattern.

Each Trooper is made on a real cherry backer in our Mississauga workshop, with the camo pattern UV-printed and cured directly onto the wood. Printing over real cherry instead of a flat panel is what lets the grain come through as part of the design, giving the camo more depth than a standard printed pattern. Available for all current iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models, with integrated MagSafe magnets and a soft microfiber interior lining on iPhone 13 and newer.
