Kodiak - Printed Wood Phone Case

A bear is one of the most prominent symbols of woodland adventures and cross-Canada hiking, but not everyone wants to see one up close in the wild. With the Kodiak wood phone case, you can have the beauty of a chance encounter with none of the danger. Printed on a Wenge backer, the stylized art features a Kodiak bear walking past a mountain lake.

The Kodiak is one of our most recognizable designs and a staple of our outdoor-inspired collection. The bear artwork is UV-printed directly onto a piece of wenge wood using semi-flexible ink that won't crack when the case flexes during everyday use. The dark tones of the wenge let the printed detail come through with real depth, and the texture of the wood grain shows through the lighter areas of the print, giving it a quality that you wouldn't get from printing on plastic or a flat surface.

We chose wenge as the base for the Kodiak because its deep chocolate-brown colour and distinctive grain pattern complement the weight of the bear artwork without competing with it. The veneer is finished with a semi-gloss coat, and the printed design is masked before laser-cutting the perimeter to the exact shape of each phone model. Available for all current iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models, with MagSafe magnets and a soft microfibre interior lining on iPhone 13 and newer.

Our cases are created using high-resolution UV Printing, laser cut hand finished wood veneer, and a Flexible TPU Rubber shell.
